C. I. Travel Group have enjoyed an excellent start to the summer flying season, with many charter flights into Jersey sold out. Forward bookings for August and September are very strong, hinting at a very successful summer for several of our key air routes.

“BlueC. I. Travel Group operate charter flights from a range of regional airports across the UK, including Aberdeen, Inverness, Dundee, Durham Tees Valley, Humberside and Cambridge.

One of this summer's most successful routes has been the weekly charter from Cambridge International Airport, with full flights due to land into Jersey every Saturday during the rest of the season. This is the fourth year that we have operated this route in partnership with local airline Blue Islands, with sales increasing every year.

David Surley, Head of Business & Route Development at Cambridge International Airport said, “Jersey is yet again our top destination, so much so that this summer’s flights to our customers’ favourite sunshine island were completely sold out by the end of June – literally no seats left available. We couldn’t be happier and look forward to further Channel Island success in Summer 2016 as customer demand continues to grow. Already we are inundated with calls from early bookers planning ahead to next year.”

“Jersey is yet again our top destination, so much so that this summer’s flights to our customers’ favourite sunshine island were completely sold out by the end of June”C. I. Travel Group have operated charter flights from Aberdeen International Airport to Jersey in partnership with Flybe for many years, and 2015 has proven to be one of the most successful years for this ever-popular route. Lynn Harwood, Route Development Manager at Aberdeen International Airport, commented: “Jersey continues to prove, year on year, a very popular route for our passengers looking to experience the scenic sights and relaxed island lifestyle that can be reached by a short flight from Aberdeen. We look forward to continuing our work with C. I. Travel Group, to bring this fantastic destination to the North East Region’s doorstep.”

Our range of charter routes put Jersey within easy reach of many visitors for whom a long journey to a large, busy hub airport is simply not an option. The opportunity to travel from a small, convenient regional airport not only creates an enjoyable holiday experience from the start, but also speeds up many visitors' travel time, giving them more time to discover Jersey.

As we develop our plans for 2016, regional charter routes will continue to play an important role in the promotion of Jersey and in our efforts to attract new and existing clients - watch this space!
