FlyDirect Celebrates Carrying their 25,000th Passenger

On Monday 25th February, FlyDirect will be carrying their 25,000th passenger since becoming part of C. I. Travel Group in 2008. The passenger will be flying on their winter sun programme direct to Tenerife with Smartwings which operates weekly on Mondays until the 15th April.

Every year, passenger numbers have been growing for FlyDirect along with their Spanish Sun programmes. Since joining C. I. Travel Group 11 years ago, the company has introduced more departure dates, larger jet planes and new destinations to meet consumer demand.

Robert Mackenzie, Managing Director of C . I. Travel Group, said " We are committed to meeting the increasing demand for direct flights from Jersey maximizing our clients’ precious holiday time. FlyDirect has built a strong reputation in the islands which is as a result of both our high service levels and the destinations we offer. Our dedication to our customers was clearly demonstrated by how we responded quickly and efficiently to the recent challenges posed to our Tenerife programme and our clients both appreciated and respected this".

To celebrate this landmark of flying their 25,000th passenger, the company will be offering clients £25 off any new FlyDirect booking made on Monday 25th February. This includes both flight-only and package booking made either over the phone or online. Their nominated charity, Donna Annand Melanoma Charity, will also benefit. Throughout the month of February, FlyDirect are donating £2.50 from every passenger booked to DAMC helping the charity’s efforts to promote the importance of prevention, protection and early detection.

"We are very proud to have reached such a landmark for FlyDirect and be waving off our 25,000th passenger. We look forward to many more to come” added Mackenzie.

Flights and holiday packages to Tenerife, Majorca and the Costa del Sol are available to book with FlyDirect at, by calling 01534 496677, or with local travel agents.
