Overall winner Jersey, Merton Hotel
Overall winner Bailiwick of Guernsey, Duke of Normandie Hotel

The winners of the third C. I. Travel Group Hotel Awards have been announced, with the Merton Hotel and the Duke of Normandie Hotel winning the overall awards in Jersey and Guernsey respectively. The Merton also won the 3 & 2 Star Category in Jersey, with the Duke of Normandie winning the 3 & 2 Star Category in the Bailiwick of Guernsey.

2017 C. I. Travel Group Hotel AwardsNow in its third year, the awards scheme recognises excellence and professionalism in the Channel Islands’ tourism and hospitality sector, and reflects C. I. Travel Group's commitment to delivering the highest standards of customer service. The awards are run in association with the online feedback platform Feefo, with whom C. I. Travel Group has worked for a number of years.

The awards have again been decided using an aggregate score based on genuine customer reviews received through Feefo’s innovative system and on hotels’ room count. Shortlisted and winning hotels can therefore be safe in the knowledge that they have been selected by authentic feedback, and that the wide range of hotel sizes in the Channel Islands has been taken into account.

Properties in Jersey and the Bailiwick of Guernsey have been chosen in two categories: 5 & 4 star hotels and 3 & 2 star hotels. Joining the two overall winners were the Cristina Hotel, winning the 5 & 4 Star Category in Jersey, and the Duke of Richmond Hotel, winning the 5 & 4 Star Category in the Bailiwick of Guernsey. The extremely positive customer comments received across all grades of hotels reflect the assertion that service is of paramount importance to the islands’ visitors, even more so than price, value or luxury.

The awards recognise the superior service companies provide based on authentic and genuine customer feedback. We are proud to be working with the C. I. Travel Group to continue to build trust and transparency across the travel and tourism industry.”

I. Travel Group Hotel Awards. Congratulations to all involved and their contribution to growing the visitor economy in the island.”
