Majorca flights take off as quarantine measures are reviewed for Jersey arrivals
C. I. Travel Group announces that FlyDirect will operate their first departure from Jersey to Majorca for 2020 on Sunday 19th July, as quarantine measures for arrivals in both islands are relaxed.
Travellers returning to Jersey now have the choice to take a PCR swab test on arrival and limit social contact until they have their test results within 48 hours. On arrival in Majorca, the low number of coronavirus cases in Jersey, means that holidaymakers travelling on this direct service will not need to quarantine on arrival. The FlyDirect holiday programme to Majorca had been postponed from the 16th May due to border restrictions and quarantine measures as a result of coronavirus. With updated entry requirements from the Governments in both Jersey and Majorca, this route will now operate from the 19th July throughout the summer.
“The wellbeing of our clients is paramount and we are now confident to operate knowing that local governments, accommodation providers and the airline all have the necessary precautions in place to ensure maximum safety when holidaying during times of coronavirus,” said Robert Mackenzie, Managing Director of C. I. Travel Group. “I also understand, in these unprecedented times, how important it is for our clients to know that their travel company is looking after not only their safety but also their financial commitment. For that reason, we have a refund promise in place.” FlyDirect promises that should they be unable to operate flights as planned, customers would receive a full refund of monies paid to them within 14 days or as soon as they have the money refunded themselves from the supplier.
“It has been a challenging few months for the travel industry and I would like to thank everyone who has supported FlyDirect during this time,” continues Mackenzie.“Many islanders are still keen to get away this summer and all of us at C. I. Travel Group look forward to taking them on holiday soon.”
The FlyDirect programme will run every Sunday from the 19th July to the 20th September 2020 to the Spanish Island of Majorca. Clients will fly aboard one of Air Europa’s comfortable Embraer jet aircraft for the quick 2 hour flight. All passengers 6 years and over will be asked to wear on-board to protect fellow holiday makers and crew. You can book on the FlyDirect website or call their Customer Services team who are working from home Monday – Friday between 09.00 – 14.00.
