FlyDirect adds new direct destinations from Jersey in 2023
After another successful summer of flights from Jersey, along with new departure points Guernsey and the Isle of Man, FlyDirect is further expanding its operation in 2023 and offering two brand new destinations from Jersey. Next summer the company is introducing weekly direct flights to The Algarve and Ibiza from Jersey, offering islanders increased choice and more options for travel abroad quickly and conveniently.
In total the tour operator, which is owned by C. I. Travel Group, will now offer a choice of 5 different sunshine holiday destinations direct from Jersey, with The Algarve and Ibiza joining existing programmes to Majorca, Costa del Sol and Tenerife. This is alongside a repeat of direct summer-long services to Majorca from Guernsey and the Isle of Man.
Flights to The Algarve and Ibiza will operate weekly from May to September 2023, alongside flights to Majorca. Flights to Costa del Sol depart in Spring and Autumn while Tenerife operates over the winter months.
Customers can choose to book flights or inclusive holiday packages at a range of hotels and apartments, providing a compelling level of choice across Spain and Portugal.
C. I. Travel Group Managing Director Robert Mackenzie said, “We are delighted that so many islanders in Jersey took the decision to choose to travel on our direct flights to the Mediterranean this summer. The challenges of travelling through the UK have been well publicised and the convenience and speed of flying direct has attracted many to try FlyDirect for the first time.”
In 2023, FlyDirect will continue to partner with BA CityFlyer, a subsidiary of British Airways. Customers will experience the speed and comfort of the Embraer 190 jet aircraft as well as the on-board service of British Airways.
Flights will go on sale on Tuesday 27th September and customers will be able to book online through www.flydirect.co.uk or over the phone.
