Foraging for a taste of Island life with Airways Holidays

Airways Holidays recently offered 13 agents from Exeter, Hull and the North West region of England, the opportunity to visit the Island of Jersey and sample many of the Island’s top attractions and hotels. Agents stayed at the L’Horizon Beach Hotel & Spa and enjoyed dining at restaurants including the Jersey Pottery Crab Shack, which sits above the award-winning St. Brelade’s Bay.

The 3 day trip took place between 2nd & 4th April and was organised by Airways Holidays. Agents were given first-hand experience of Jersey’s famous food, which is bursting with flavour from abundant local producers. From rich creamy milk, cheese and ice-cream to seafood straight from local waters, the Island’s foodie prowess was on show for the agents to enjoy!

As well as sampling Jersey’s hotels and local restaurants, the trip also included an introduction to bush craft foraging with Kazz from Wild Adventures, a visit to the War Tunnels and a guided tour of Jersey Zoo. When asked what their lasting memory of the trip would be, one agent commented: “The activities; there’s a lot more to Jersey than I imagined. I would definitely recommend all of the activities to my customers!” All agents rated foraging with Kazz and Jersey Zoo as ‘Excellent’
